False complaint charge laid

A Mosgiel woman has been arrested and charged with making a false complaint,
after claiming she was sexually assaulted in the town on Monday night.
Detective Sergeant Neil Lowden said the woman (22) contacted police about
9pm, claiming she was assaulted in an alleyway between Argyle and McDonald
Sts.
Det Sgt Lowden said as a result of inquiries, the woman was arrested
yesterday and charged with making a false complaint.
