False complaint
A Palmerston North woman has been charged with
making a false complaint for telling police she was assaulted after she was
found semi-conscious late on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old was also charged with breach of bail. She was discovered by a
passer-by near the Esplanade reserve at 10.45pm and taken to hospital.
Police charged her after investigating an assault claim. She was held in
custody till her court appearance today.
