Police believe a
12-year-old girl made up a story about being abducted in Aranui, Christchurch
last month. A manhunt was launched
by police after she claimed a man followed her and tried to drag her into a
car in Shortland Street, near Aranui High School. Detective Dave Joker
said yesterday that police were no longer looking for anyone. The girl could
face disciplinary action after a family group conference on the matter. |
