Nelson - A 19-year-old
Nelson woman who accused a man of rape after a party in Nelson has been
charged with making a false statement. The woman claimed she
was raped after sharing a taxi home with the man on March 27. Nelson Police
Detective Sergeant Kevin Tiernan said the woman's complaint resulted in
several officers called back from their Easter holidays and more than 100
hours of police time spent on investigations. The woman will appear
in court on May 10. |
