Auckland police are investigating
the frightening abduction of a woman on Wednesday morning. The 18-year-old was bundled into a
car on Short Street in Newmarket by three north African men. The woman claims to have been
assaulted before being forced into the car and driven to the Phyllis Street
reserve in Mount Albert. From there she managed to escape and run to a
nearby dairy where the owner called police. Police say it is possible people
saw her being hit over the head and taken from Short Street. Officers are hoping witnesses or
security footage will provide them with some clues. The victim is Caucasian with long
blonde hair and was wearing black jeans and a black jacket at the time she
was abducted. The men were driving a white, four
