A Wellington
schoolteacher has been committed for trial on four charges of assault and
sexual violation of a seven-year-old girl nearly 10 years ago. Wellington District
Court judge Geoff Ellis remanded him on bail till January 30 at the High
Court at Wellington after the 42-year-old man had admitted there was a case
to answer at a depositions hearing yesterday. Judge Ellis refused to
continue name suppression, however it was reimposed till a High Court appeal
can be heard. |
