A legal expert says an Australian
court was right to reverse a decision and allow two former Christchurch
clergymen to be extradited to face historic sexual abuse charges. The Auckland University associate
professor of law, Scott Optican, says without the extradition, Brother Rodger
Moloney and Father Raymond Garchow would not stand trial for the alleged
offences. Lawyers for the pair say they will
appeal the decision
