The impending extradition from
Australia of two Catholic clergymen accused of sex abuse at a Christchurch
school in the 1970s is being called a minor victory for the alleged victims. Yesterday the Australian High
Court refused an appeal against the extradition of 71-year old Rodger William
Moloney and 58-year old Raymond John Garchow. The men are in custody and
officials are not commenting on when they will be extradited, but it has been
reported it could be as early as today. The chair of the Male Survivors of
Sexual Abuse Trust, Ken Clearwater, says it's great that common sense has
prevailed |
