Accused clergymen still in Aust

The two Catholic clergymen facing child sex abuse charges are still in Australia.

There were reports the two men would be back in Christchurch on Tuesday but their lawyer in Australia Greg Walsh says they are still there. He says he is not sure exactly when they will be extradited.

On Monday, the High Court in Sydney turned down an application by Brother Rodger Maloney and Father Raymond Garchow to appeal their extradition order.

The men are facing charges of committing various sexual offences against young boys between 1971 and 1980 at the former Maryland's School for the disadvantaged.
