The former police inspector
accused of covering up historical rape allegations made against police
officers, has been giving evidence, and has denied any wrongdoing. 55 year old John Dewar faces four
charges in the High Court in Hamilton of obstructing justice by suppressing
the allegations made by Rotorua woman Louise Nicholas. Mr Dewar told the court that Mrs
Nicholas never told him about her allegations of being raped by the three
officers. John Dewar has also denied a claim
that he took part in group sex with a woman and another police officer. |
