The Crown and Defence are to give
their closing arguments in the trial of a former police inspector accused of
covering up historical rape allegations against three police officers. John Dewar is facing four charges
of obstructing justice after the Crown says he covered up complaints made by
Rotorua woman, Louise Nicholas. He denies the charges. Mr Dewar spent yesterday giving
evidence on his own behalf and being cross examined in the High Court in
Hamilton. |
