Interim name suppression
will continue for four men accused of rape and abduction of a woman at Mt
Maunganui 15 years ago. In a reserved decision,
Judge Peter Rollo has ruled two of the men should have their names, past and
present occupations and other details that could identify them suppressed
until further order of the court. The others have their names and occupations
suppressed for seven days, unless they appeal against the decision. A depositions hearing
at the Tauranga District Court is expected to be held next month. |
