Four men will be tried
in June for allegedly pack-raping a woman at Mt Maunganui in 1989. The trial has been
moved from Rotorua to Wellington. The men are facing
rape, sexual violation and abduction charges relating to an incident that is
alleged to have happened at a location near the foot of Tay Street in January
1989. They have pleaded not guilty,
and their names and past and present occupations are suppressed. Their trial starts on
June 20. |
