The jury will retire
today in the High Court trial of four men accused of pack rape. The men, whose names and
occupations are suppressed, deny raping and abducting a woman at Mt Maunganui
in 1989. In closing their cases
last week, the Crown and the defence asked the jury to consider the
credibility of the complainant. The Crown said she was consistent and balanced
while the defence has argued too much of her evidence did not stack up. The last of the four
defence lawyers will sum up this morning. |
