Two of four men found guilty
of pack raping a 20-year-old woman at Mount Maunganui 16 years ago have
appealed their convictions. Warren Graham Hales 40,
a Papamoa fireman, has appealed against his convictions for rape and
abduction. He was jailed for 5 and a half years. A 53 year old man,
whose name and occupation are supressed, has appealed his conviction for
rape, abduction, and unlawful sexual connection. He received an 8 year
sentence. Also convicted were Peter Mana McNamara,46, a Mount Maunganui
businessman, and a 47-year-old whose name is suppressed. |
